Help Build Ocóyái

🌿 The Problem We’re Solving

As the global interest in Ayahuasca and other sacred plant medicines surges, we face a profound dilemma: the very traditions and ecosystems that hold the keys to humanity’s healing are now at risk of being commodified, depleted, or lost entirely.

With increased demand comes mounting pressure on ancestral territories, the elders who carry these lineages, and the fragile ecosystems where these sacred medicines grow. We’ve witnessed overharvesting, cultural appropriation, and the dilution of spiritual integrity — often without reinvestment into the land or the people who have protected these medicines for generations.

At the same time, veterans, seekers, and everyday people around the world are waking up — yearning for a deeper healing that the modern world cannot provide. But too often, they are met with extractive tourism or shallow experiences disconnected from the roots.

We founded Ocóyái to meet this moment — to serve as a lighthouse for those seeking healing, and as a shield for the original stewards of these sacred paths.

Our solution is a living, Indigenous-guided village rooted in land restoration, ancestral wisdom, and sacred reciprocity. We are building cabins, planting native medicines, protecting water sources, and walking in alliance with the Murui, Siona, Nutabe, and Wiwa peoples to ensure these traditions are preserved, protected, and honored — not just for today’s healing, but for generations to come.

Phase I: Retreats (Q3 2025)

- Purchase 4x4 'estante' truck for people and materials transport

- Plant our first hectare of Yagé and Pinta

- Upgrade bathrooms

- Build bunk housing for retreat guests

Without this infrastructure:

We cannot safely host larger groups or families.

We risk damage to sacred medicines and paths due to weather and isolation.

We limit our ability to serve veterans and Indigenous elders who often come without financial means.

Phase II: Community (Q4 2025)

- Establish nursery and seed library

- Construct family cabins

- Construct kitchen and coworking areas

- Upgrade Solar system

Phase III: Expansion (2026)

- Purchase 44+200 more hectares of land for the reserve

- Establish formal autonomous indigenous government

- Build a school to educate our children

- Create language preserving courses for indigenous languages

- Support the plan de vida/vision of the Murui, Siona, Wiwa peoples.
