Hi, and welcome. This covers the terms of being part of Ocóyái Ancestral School, and how we handle your information. We've written it the way we try to do everything here — plainly, no fine-print games. It's short. Please read it.
Who we are. Ocóyái Ancestral School ("Ocóyái," "we," "us") is an online community operated by Coyotipi LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company in the United States. We're a U.S. company mainly to make international payments simple for a community that spans many countries. You can reach us anytime at [email protected]. You need to be 18 or older to join.
What you're joining. When you become a member, you're welcomed into a living Indigenous community: weekly live gatherings with our elders (translated), a growing library of recorded teachings, monthly circles, and a community of people walking the same path. All paths are honored here — we only ask that you show up in right relationship: with respect, honesty, and care for the people and traditions you're joining.
Reciprocity, not a price. You come in through reciprocity — a contribution you choose, one time or monthly. There's a small minimum so the community stays sustainable; beyond that, you offer what feels right. A few honest things about it:
It's a contribution, not a donation in the legal sense. We're a for-profit community, not a registered charity, so your contribution isn't tax-deductible. We'd rather tell you that up front than let you assume otherwise.
Your reciprocity supports the real work — the elders, the families, and the land — not a marketing machine.
You belong for life. Give once and you're a lifetime member. Choose monthly and you can stop whenever you need to — and you still keep your place here. Reciprocity opens the door, and the door stays open.
If you give monthly. Your contribution renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime, and you won't be charged again after that — but you keep your lifetime access. No hoops, no "are you sure" mazes.
If something's not right. Reach out at any time — [email protected]. If you've contributed and it doesn't feel right, tell us and we'll make it right, including refunding a recent contribution. We'd always rather take care of you than hold onto money that doesn't feel good to either of us.
We have nothing else to sell you. This isn't a foot in the door. No upgrades, no locked "premium" tiers, no course to unlock for extra money, no upsells. Your membership is the whole thing. If we ever add something new to the community, it comes to members as part of belonging here — never as another thing to buy. The one thing that may come in time is an invitation to visit the territory in person; that's arranged separately, earned through relationship, and never something you simply purchase.
Being part of the community. This space runs on trust and right relationship. Treat the elders, the traditions, and each other with respect. We may remove anyone who's harmful, disrespectful, or here in bad faith — this is a real community, and protecting it is part of caring for it.
The teachings belong to the tradition. The teachings, recordings, and materials shared inside Ocóyái are the living property of the community and the elders who carry them. They're yours to learn from as a member — please don't copy, record, republish, sell, or share them outside the community. This is about honoring a living tradition, not just a rule.
What this is — and isn't. Ocóyái offers community, teachings, and connection. It is not medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and it's not a substitute for professional care. If you're going through something serious, please also reach out to a qualified professional. Being part of this community is your own choice and your own responsibility.
We collect only what we need to welcome you in, keep the community running, and understand how people find us. Here's the whole picture.
What we collect.
What you give us: your name and email when you join or contribute, and any messages you send us.
Payment info: handled by Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your full card details. Stripe processes your contribution and shares back basic confirmation (amount, date, status).
How you found us: when you arrive from an ad or link, we collect standard analytics — pages visited, device and browser type, and referral data — to understand what's working.
Cookies and tracking tools.
Our pages use cookies and similar technologies, including the Meta (Facebook) Pixel and Conversions API, which help us measure whether our ads are reaching the right people and working. This may involve sharing limited event data (like the fact that a contribution happened, and a securely hashed version of your email) with Meta so we can understand and improve our advertising. We also use GoHighLevel to run our pages and hold our contact records. You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can manage ad preferences in your Meta account settings.
Who we share it with. We don't sell your information. We share it only with the trusted services that make this work — Stripe (payments), Skool (the community), GoHighLevel (pages and contacts), and Meta (advertising measurement, as above) — and only what each needs to do its job. We may also share information if the law requires it.
How we protect it and how long we keep it. We use reasonable safeguards to keep your information secure, and we keep it only as long as we need to run the community and meet our legal obligations. No system is ever perfectly secure, but we treat your information with the same care we'd want for our own.
Your choices. You can ask us to see, correct, or delete the information we hold about you at any time — just email [email protected] and we'll take care of it. You can unsubscribe from emails whenever you like.
Services we rely on. Payments through Stripe, the community on Skool, our pages through GoHighLevel, advertising measurement through Meta — when you use them, their own terms and privacy practices apply too.
We offer Ocóyái in good faith and do our best, but we can't promise it'll be perfect or uninterrupted. To the fullest extent the law allows, it's provided "as is," and our liability is limited to what you've contributed. We may update this document as the community grows; if we make meaningful changes, we'll let members know. This document is governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, USA.
